Pat Conroy published 10 novels and several memoirs, with works released by Hachette Book Group and its imprints including Little, Brown and Company, Grand Central Publishing, and Back Bay Books. His debut novel, The Great Santini, was first published in 1976 by Houghton Mifflin and later reissued by Back Bay Books, a Hachette imprint. The Prince of Tides followed in 1986, also through Houghton Mifflin, and was adapted into a film by Warner Bros. Pictures in 1991. Conroy's The Lords of Discipline was released in 1980 by Houghton Mifflin, and The Boo was published in 1970 by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich.
